The School and University Festival of Audiovisual Arts, eMove Festival, celebrated its awards gala today, Saturday, at CulturArts, Rialto cinema, in Valencia.
The objectives of eMove Festival are:
- Actively incorporate values education into the curricular project of each school and university through the production of audiovisual works.
- Promote students interest in audiovisual arts as a positive formula for using their free time, also developing their potential as a source of information and cultural enrichment.
- Motivate and reward the creativity of future professionals in audiovisual arts.
277 educational centers from across Spain participated in this first edition, with 14 being awarded for their works in sections and categories produced by students aged between 8 and 19 years.
The festival jury comprised prominent professionals from the world of cinema and television:
Tve Clan, National Geographic, Warner Bros Pictures, Warner Music, Nintendo Entertainment, Academy of Film and the Sciences of Spain, AEACP, and the Official College of Advertisers and Public Relations of the Valencian Community.
The following individuals attended the event to present the awards: Mr. Abel Guarinós, General Director of CulturArts. Mr. Rafael Monterde, Director of the Inndea Foundation. Mr. Guillermo Maldonado, Member of the Academy of Film and the Sciences of Spain. Mr. Ángel Pérez, Producer at CLAN TVE channel. Mr. Miguel Llopis (Secretary General of the Official College of Advertisers and Public Relations of the Valencian Community). Maria Albiñana, Actress, and Mr. Ricardo Torres, President of eMove Festival.
The awards ceremony for this First Edition of the Festival had a clear objective, to bring together, at the same time and place, all the parties directly involved in the eMove Festival:
organizers, collaborating institutions, jury members, and most importantly the young participants and awardees, in order to give real value to the work accomplished by the participants. In previous months, strengthen the importance of this initiative in the present moment, and create synergies to propose new personal and collective challenges in the future.
Drive the spirit of the eMove Festival:
“Discovering the positive values that audiovisual creation brings to young people in the student environment”. For this purpose, the event recognized the value of the works with its awards and also brought together its young authors through special screenings, debates, and activities to promote, stimulate, and inspire their social, creative, artistic, and cultural spirit .
Next we detail the different categories and their respective winners at the national level. The winners of the first edition are from 6 different autonomous communities (Basque Country, Galicia, Aragon, Asturias, Balearic Islands, and Valencian Community.)
